1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing tastedlite.com and placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website. Taste d'Lite reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
2. Products and availability
All products are prepared fresh to order and subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if a product becomes unavailable after payment. In such cases, you will receive a full refund. Product images are representative; slight variations in appearance may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our baked goods.
3. Ordering and payment
Orders are confirmed upon successful payment through Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where noted. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an error is discovered after your order, we will contact you before fulfillment. Payment is processed securely by Stripe — Taste d'Lite does not store card information.
4. Lead times and scheduling
Each product has a minimum lead time (24–72 hours) required for fresh preparation. By placing an order with a specific pickup or delivery time, you confirm that you have allowed sufficient lead time. We cannot guarantee fulfillment if insufficient notice is provided. We will contact you if there is any issue with your requested time.
5. Pickup and delivery
Pickup is available at 11 Majestic Drive, Ottawa, ON K2G 1C5. Pickup windows are confirmed by our team after ordering. Delivery is available within the Ottawa area. Delivery fees apply and are calculated at checkout. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Taste d'Lite is not liable for orders that cannot be delivered due to incorrect address information.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Orders may be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery time. Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup/delivery may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Custom cakes and catering orders require 48 hours notice for cancellation. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days through Stripe. 7. Food safety and allergens
Our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, and sesame. While we take care to accommodate dietary restrictions when requested, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Customers with severe food allergies order at their own risk. Allergen information is provided on each product page to the best of our knowledge. Please contact us if you have concerns before ordering.
8. Intellectual property
All content on tastedlite.com, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Taste d'Lite and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, Taste d'Lite's liability is limited to the value of the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of our products or website.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
